Membership Criteria
Membership is open to both families and individuals from Closter and the surrounding towns. The fees are the same, regardless of the number of people in your family. A family is defined as a parental couple and children living in the household, under the age of 25.

Fees

Non-Refundable Initiation Fee -$500.00 : According to the newly approved changes in our bylaws, new Members instead of buying a Bond from a resigning Member, would pay a $500 one-time non-refundable Initiation Fee, the regular Annual Dues, and any other applicable fees. After payment of this fee, you will be a member in good standing with full voting rights, as long as you pay your dues.

Application Fee - $75.00: Covers cost of membership cards and new member application processing.

Yearly dues - $595.00 : These monies make up the operating budget for the club from year-to-year. Maintenance, repair, upkeep, and salaries make up the bulk of this fee.

Late Fee: Members not paying dues by the May 1st dead-line will be subject to a $75.00 late fee (By-Laws, Article IV: Section 5)

Special Membership - $130.00 (tax inclusive): This option is for member families that wish to arrange for a care-giver, nanny, or non-immediate family member to have access to the club. This is a one year only membership and must be re-applied for each season.

Guests (limit 10 guests per family, per day)
Guest fees are $6.00 for adults, seniors & children on any weekday and
$8.00 on weekends & holidays. Pre-payed cards available. See mgr. for details.

Guest fees may be paid at the door upon entering or prepaid guest cards will
be available for sale in increments of 5 for $30 (with one free) or 10 for $60
(with two free). Guest cards may be purchased in advance by sending a check payable to: “The Closter Swim Club” P.O. Box 94, Closter NJ 07624. Please specify your member number and return address with your request.
A member of the host family must accompany all guests when arriving at CSC and must remain for the duration of their stay. All guests MUST be signed in upon arrival at CSC and must wear a guest wristband. The conduct of the guest will be considered the responsibility of the sponsoring member. Every host-guest group must include one person 16 years of age or older. No rain checks will be issued. Bringing more than 10 guests per day, per member family requires prior approval from the manager.

Membership Card Distribution
Yellow Cards: Infant to 10 years of age
Blue Cards: 11 to 17 years of age
White Cards: 18 years of age and up
(cards will be upgraded by achievement of new age level, passing water test and upon presentation to the manager)

Payment of Bills
Annual dues must be paid within 30 days from the date of billing. Club bylaws require that members who fail to pay their dues within the prescribed 30 days will be fined $75.00. In addition, members will not be entitled to the privileges of membership during such delinquency. (By-Laws, Article IV, Section 5)

Resignations
All resignations must be received in writing signed by all adult members of the resigning family. Resignations must be sent to: Closter Swim Club, P.O. Box 94 Closter, NJ 07624.
Current members who resign in writing by May 1st (letter postmarked on or before May 1st) will receive their bond in its entirety upon replacement.
